The sale, purchase, and consumption of alcohol are illegal in Saudi Arabia. It is also illegal to bring alcohol or recreational drugs into the country. Bringing products with pork is not allowed.

Smart casual attire is required at the conference. Women do not have to wear abaya but should be dressed in conservative clothing. For men, appropriate attire generally means slacks and collared shirts. For women, appropriate attire generally means tops with sleeves, slacks, and skirts of modest length. Short, transparent, or revealing garments are not appropriate in public areas.
