Anne Benneker

Biography

Dr. Anne M. Benneker is an assistant professor in the Chemical and Petroleum Engineering Department and the program director of the Energy Engineering undergraduate program in the Schulich School of Engineering at the University of Calgary. Her research focuses on transport phenomena at the microscopic length scale, driven by gradients of temperature, concentration or electric potential, mostly in experimental platforms. Applications of this research are in the field of environmental remediation, energy recovery and water treatment. Dr. Benneker holds a MSc. and PhD degree from the University of Twente (2018), where she researched ion transport phenomena at charge selective interfaces for applications such as electrodialysis.
