Ilya Ryzhkov

Biography

Ilya I. Ryzhkov graduated from Krasnoyarsk State Technical University, Russia in Applied mathematics in 2002. He received PhD degree from Novosibirsk State University in 2005 and Doctor of Sciences degree from the Institute of Continuous Media Mechanics, Perm in 2014. During 2006–2009, he held a postdoctoral position at the Free University of Brussels, Belgium. Presently, Ilya I. Ryzhkov is a leading researcher at the Institute of Computational Modelling SB RAS and a Professor of Siberian Federal University. He has published more than 70 papers in peer-reviewed internationally recognized journals. The scientific interests of Dr. Ryzhkov are related to the synthesis and characterization of membranes as well as mathematical modelling of membrane processes. His research group is working on switchable ion selectivity in nanoporous membranes by application of external electric field. The research interests also include heat and mass transfer in multicomponent mixtures, Soret effect, and microgravity experiments in fluids.
