John Sebastian is a PhD student in Physics at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU). His current studies explore how ion signalling and regulation allows organisms that lack dedicated nervous systems, such as plants, to make 'intelligent' decisions. Previously, he obtained his Master's degree from Ben-Gurion University of the Negev (BGU) in Israel, where he worked with Prof Yoav Green on ion transport in nanofluidic systems and on developing an elementary model to represent nanofluidic systems of scale by their equivalent electrical circuit.
